Nem Nướng (Vietnamese Grilled Pork Skewers)
1 package of Nem Nuong Seasoning mix
500gr ground pork
2 tsp chopped garlic
1 tbsp fish sauce
1 tbsp oil
Vegetables of choice (green or red leaf lettuce shredded ,mint, cucumbers sliced)
Fish sauce-based dipping sauce (nước chấm)
1. Dissolve contents of package with 1/4 cup (60 ml) water.
2. Add the mixture, fish sauce, oil and garlic into 500g ground pork, knead until the mixture becomes sticky. Let stand for 10 minutes.
3. Shape into 1 inch in diameter balls and thread onto the skewers.
4. Steam for about 10 minutes so the shape holds before the final cooking stage. Grill until done or bake at 170 °C for 10 minutes.
5. Serve with rice vermicelli, fresh vegetables and dipping sauce!
